Marga, una arquitecta de éxito, regresa a casa tras haber pasado dos meses internada en un centro de rehabilitación por un problema de adicción con el que su familia convivió en silencio durante años. Tras su llegada, Marga intentará rehacer su vida anterior mientras su hija menor Blanca, verá cómo la atención que vuelca sobre su madre afecta tanto a sus relaciones como a su sueño de ser bailarina profesional. Un año después, "el elefante" sigue tan enorme como siempre. Aunque por lo menos, ahora, todos pueden verlo.

Marga (Emma Suárez), una arquitecta reconocida y exitosa, regresa a su hogar tras pasar dos meses en un centro de rehabilitación debido a una adicción que su familia había soportado en silencio durante muchos años. Al volver, Marga se propone reconstruir su vida tal como era antes de su internamiento. Sin embargo, su hija menor, Blanca (Natalia de Molina), comienza a darse cuenta de que la atención que dedica a su madre tiene un impacto significativo en sus propias relaciones y en su sueño de convertirse en bailarina profesional. Un año después, "el elefante" en la habitación, que representa el problema no resuelto de la adicción, sigue siendo tan imponente como siempre, aunque al menos ahora todos son conscientes de su presencia.
